HOW TO PREPARE PAKISTAN AFFAIR PAPER FOR CSS AND PMS EXAMS
CSS aspirants, letβs have some discussion about Pakistan Affairs. I scored 60/100, 10th highest in Pakistan. If there was any subject that I had to study throughout the process frequently, it was this one π
Tips about preparing Pakistan Affairs for CSS and PMS Exams
1. Cover the pre partition history by reading a good book like Trek to Pakistan, Consice History of Pakistan or any other recommended.
2. For post partition, my all times fav book is Constitutional and Political History by Hamid Khan. Brilliantly written. Will also help you in Political Science. Another YouTube source: Dekho Suno Jano.
3. Collect valuable information from internet. Go for Research articles of our own institutions like IPRI, ISSRA, ISSI etc.
4. YouTube: watch the related videos of PIDE, PILDAT, and many other such channels
5. Make notes covering all the dimensions. Initially, youβre gonna find a lot of information for one single topic. Tone it down gradually by continually checking the tone of past papers. Whatβs needed, whatβs extra.
6. Read DAWN/etribue regularly to keep yourself apprised and build your arguments
7. To remember all this, start engaging your friends/family who are into it by having healthy discussions about things. This will improve your analysis.
8. I was not able to set specific days for this subject as it has a lot of syllabus to cover. So, I scheduled my time from Sunrise till 9/10 AM daily for Pakistan Affairs until I was completely done.
9. Make your notes first, and then began memorising them, as learning will take half the time than making notes initially.
Giving you a list of vibrant sources because I believe this is the only subject that will require such effort, once you have prepared this thoroughly, it will help you with other subjects like Political Science, Indo Pak History, Public Administration, Current Affairs, Essay, Sociology, Anthropology etc.
